Supporting Learning at Home
We understand that some parents would welcome further guidance on how to support their child’s learning outside of school. To assist with this, each term we will share a document outlining the key learning taking place in your child’s class. This will be sent via PING.
What’s Included in the Termly Learning Sheet:
-
A list of spelling words expected to be known by the end of the year group
-
Information about the books being studied in Literacy lessons
-
A link to the Maths scheme we use in school, following the same format your child is familiar with
-
A link to the RSHE parent portal, outlining what your child is learning
-
Links to Science activities to explore at home
Additional Opportunities:
Each child will have the opportunity to take home the Curious about Cultures Book and an Interest Bag once a year
Ongoing Expectations at Home

imes Table Rockstars: Children in Years 2–6 should be accessing this daily for at least 10 minutes.
Teachers monitor engagement and usage, and by the end of Year 4, children are expected to confidently know all their times tables. -
